A new Grand Seiko limited-edition has been quietly announced in Japan. The SBGH375 was introduced by Japanese retailer Eye Eye Isuzu to mark the store’s 45th anniversary, and early images shared online (courtesy of @plus9time on Instagram) give us a close look at the watch and its finishing details. This release appears to be a local dealer exclusive, limited to merely 45 pieces.
The SBGH375 features a green sunray dial with a repeating olive flower pattern, which is visible up close in the macro shots. The colour looks like a deep forest green under most lighting, which should shift slightly depending on angle. The seconds hand has a contrasting orange tip, a small accent that stands out against the darker dial tone without overpowering the design too much. A framed date window sits at the three-o’clock position. More details should be available once hands-on images of the watch are available.
The case is made from titanium, measuring 38 mm in diameter, 12.9 mm thick, and around 44.7 mm lug-to-lug. The finishing in the images shows the expected mix of brushed surfaces and polishing, with strong bevels and a bracelet that tapers slightly toward the clasp.
Powering the watch is the 9S85 hi-beat automatic movement, running at 36,000vph, visible through the sapphire caseback. The open-caseback images show the rotor with engraved gold lettering and striping across the plates.
No pricing has been published yet, but given the extremely small quantity and retailer-specific production, it is likely to be in the spotlight for watch collectors who focus on Japan-exclusive Grand Seiko pieces rather than casual buyers. Dealer exclusives of this scale typically sell out like hot cakes due to scarcity rather than wide retail distribution. Plus, with only 45 units available, this may be one of the rarest releases of the year from the brand.
Further availability details are expected to be released directly by Eye Eye Isuzu.
