Seiko has revealed two additions to the King Seiko Vanac series with a similar angular case geometry seen on some earlier models. The new references are the SLA093 with a brown dial and gold markers, and the SLA095 featuring a green dial with the same gold-tone accents. Both watches use a stainless-steel case sized at 41 × 14.3 × 45.1 mm, as per the announcement shared by @plus9time.
The dials feature layered, gradient-style finishing that change their tone depending on lighting, alongside applied indices and a date window at 3 o’clock. The gold handset matches the rest of the dial detailing, which pulls focus towards the vintage-inspired style that Vanac models typically have. Sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and water-resistance specifications were not confirmed in the reveal post.
Powering both watches is Seiko’s 8L45 automatic movement, which gets buyers a 72-hour power reserve and a date function. This movement is used in several of the brand’s higher-end mechanical pieces, so it's clear that these releases are on the higher-end of Seiko’s lineup rather than the entry-level King Seiko models.
The watches come on leather straps - black for the SLA095 and dark brown for the SLA093 - unlike a bracelet-based Vanac models released earlier this year. According to @plus9time, these are not limited editions and will enter the regular catalog, with availability expected in January.
Pricing has not yet been announced, and further retail information is expected closer to release.
