Four new Seiko Astron Starry Sky limited-edition watches have been revealed, split between two GPS Solar models and two radio-controlled Solar models. All four use black-coated titanium cases and bracelets and feature a blue dial finished with a stamped spiral texture (inspired by a swirling galaxy), as seen in the images shared by reliable source @plus9time on Instagram.
The radio-controlled pair consists of the SBXY105 and SBXY107. The SBXY105 uses a titanium case measuring 41.3 × 10.6 × 46.8 mm and is powered by Seiko’s 8B92 radio-sync Solar caliber. The SBXY107 is slightly more compact at 39.6 × 9.5 × 45.4 mm and runs on the 7B72 radio-sync Solar caliber. Both models are marked as limited editions of 700 units, with individual numbering engraved on the caseback.
On the other hand, the GPS Solar models are the SSH187 and SSJ039. The SSH187, also referenced as SBXC187 for the Japanese market, features a larger titanium case measuring 43.3 × 13.4 × 49.5 mm and is equipped with the 5X83 GPS Solar caliber. The SSJ039, known as SBXD039 in Japan, measures 41.2 × 12.0 × 48.6 mm and uses the 3X62 GPS Solar caliber. These two models are limited to 1,500 units each, with 500 units of each allocated specifically to the Japanese market.
Across the lineup, the images showcase consistent design elements including faceted cases, integrated titanium bracelets, applied hour markers, and date windows positioned at 4:30 on the GPS models and at 3 o’clock on the radio-controlled models. Casebacks are solid, carry Astron branding, and explicitly state the limited-edition numbering and movement details. No pricing or regional release timelines have been disclosed alongside the reveal.
