Garmin has released beta version 10.36 for users of the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E smartwatches. It follows stable software version 10.30, which arrived in August 2025, and tackles a range of bugs.
For all models, Garmin has tackled an issue linked to the Broadcast Heart Rate function, which was not working as expected when accessed through a hot key. There is a resolution for a strobe light related problem experienced by users of the Solar and AMOLED models, where the tool would not automatically switch off when the activity was exited.
For users with an Instinct 3 Solar or Instinct E wearable, a bug where Connect IQ data fields were not populated as usual in Connect IQ glances has been fixed. Garmin has also resolved a problem with temperature data in the weather glance for these wearables. On top of this, the company has sorted out an issue which could cause the Instinct 3 Solar (curr. $399.99 at Amazon) to crash when users attempted to pair a Running Dynamics Pod.
The Garmin beta version 10.36 is now available for all users of the Instinct 3 and Instinct E smartwatches. It was sent out over the air, installed via the Garmin Connect App, though it can also be downloaded via Garmin’s Express software.
