Casio’s extremely popular ring watch series is getting an all new gold variant, the CRW-001G-9, now confirmed to be approaching official launch following recent sightings in European watch store databases. The gold version was first spotted back in the beginning of 2025.
Initially available for purchase in December last year, Casio’s CRW-001 ring watch - a miniature, fully functional digital watch worn on a finger - gained a lot of traction and practically sold out within months. After a July restock also sold out quickly, this new update should make fans and collectors very happy. The CRW-001G-9 brings a premium gold-tone finish to the table, which gives the tiny accessory a fresh new look while still featuring the original’s advanced metal injection molding structure and finger ring form factor.
As per Great G-Shock World, the confirmed production variant will use a standard liquid crystal display, which is unlike the prototype stage imagery (with a negative LCD). Apart from that, the ring watch will keep its signature features including mode buttons along the bezel, digital time display, stopwatch, alarm functions, and a subtle LED accent light. Size-wise, it will fit approximately a US size 10.5 finger with adjustable spacers.
Although Casio has not officially announced the exact release date, multiple Japanese and international sources are foreshadowing a probable autumn 2025 roll-out. If interested collectors/fans couldn't get their hands on the non-gold CRW-001, the gold CRW-001G-9 looks to be another premium collectible option for them.
