Limited edition Casio G-Shock with titanium bezel now available in the US
The Casio G-Shock MRGB5000HT-1 watch is now available in the US. This model launched in countries like the UK and Japan in July, and was also recently released in other European countries.
In the US, you can now buy the G-Shock MRGB5000HT-1 watch for $8,000 at the brand’s online store. It is worth noting that, at the time of writing, there are only six units left in stock. As a reminder, the MRGB5000HT-1 is a limited edition model, with only 500 units available worldwide. Whether or not this watch is also available at the brand’s physical stores is unclear.
In the EU, where this watch is known as the G-Shock MRG-B5000HT-1, it is already sold out online in many countries like the Netherlands, France and Germany. However, customers in the UK can still purchase this model, with three units currently in stock.
The limited number of Casio G-Shock MRG-B5000HT-1 watches is due to the patterned titanium bezel and strap. Each element has been hand-hammered by craftsman Kazuya Watanabe, giving every unit a unique design. Features of the MRGB5000HT-1 include radio control (multiband 6), Bluetooth connectivity for Smartphone Link and support for up to five time zones of your choice, from a list of 39 cities. It also offers a stopwatch, multiple alarms and a countdown timer.
It is unlikely that more units of the Casio G-Shock MRG-B5000HT-1 watch will be released in the future. However, a recent leak suggests that another limited edition Casio MR-G Series watch, the G-Shock MRG-B2000KT, with a handcrafted metal bezel, is on the way.
