The Casio G-Shock MRG-B2000KT watch has been leaked. This limited edition MR-G analog timepiece will follow the limited edition G-Shock MRGB5000HT-1, which has been confirmed for release in the US and Europe.
Retailer Ersa Watch recently leaked two images of the G-Shock MRG-B2000KT and revealed some details about its design. This new premium Casio watch is inspired by the Japanese katana sword. The letters ‘KT’ from the watch’s name refer to kurogane-tsuba, the iron hand guard of the weapon. The timepiece’s bezel has a phoenix-inspired design, handcrafted by artisanal metalworker Masao Kobayashi.
The MRG-B2000KT’s dial has a feather pattern, and there are various blue-green elements. The patterned leather strap is a similar shade of blue-green. The band is finished with a bronze colored metal clasp, mirroring the bronze elements of the watch’s chunky bezel. As an MRG-B2000 series watch, it is expected to be radio-controlled (multiband 6) with Bluetooth connectivity, meaning it can be linked to the Casio Watches smartphone app. It should also support dual time zones and offer a 1-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and a daily alarm.
Rumors suggest that the Casio G-Shock MRG-B2000KT watch could be released later in 2025, though the brand has yet to officially announce this model. It has been suggested that there will only be 800 units of this limited edition watch available worldwide. Its pricing remains to be seen.
