Fresh high-definition images of the Casio G-Shock GST-B1000 now confirm key details of the upcoming premium G-Steel watch, showcasing its refined, all-analog design and construction in all its glory. The GST-B1000 is the first four-digit G-Steel model, which means Casio is positioning it as a flagship in the series.
The images show a slim and light case measuring 46.9 x 44.2 x 11.6mm and weighing just 118 grams - way more compact than its predecessor, the GST-B100D. Casio is using its Carbon Core Guard technology for this one, with a reinforced carbon case and a double-layer bezel for extra shock absorption. Red shock dampers nestled between the bezel and bracelet should add hidden impact protection, visible from the case back, where "Tough Solar" and the G-Shock branding is also clearly marked.
The dial, as revealed earlier, is fully analog with three color options: black, green, and blue. It features sophisticated 3D textures with an octagonal bezel shape, sharp edges, and a "brick" pattern. Functions include a 30-minute stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, date and day indicators, and Super Illuminator LED backlighting.
A redesigned, narrower stainless steel bracelet with solid links will complement the watch's sleek aesthetic, which is a move away from bulkier earlier G-Steel models. Bluetooth connectivity will let users link their watches to the Casio Watches app for time calibration and app-based customization.
Pricing is expected between €350 and €450, so the GST-B1000 will undoubtedly be a high-end option within Casio’s G-Steel range. These high-res images will only fuel the anticipation for this model, since it was already very popular when it first surfaced back in April. We'll keep an eye out for more updates in the near future.
