New images of the Casio GMW-BZ5000GD-1 have just surfaced on WatchUSeek. Now, we have our best look at one of the most anticipated upcoming G-Shock releases. Previously revealed through multiple leaks, the BZ5000 series is will be a follow-up to Casio’s long-running B5000 line.
The latest hands-on photos show the GMW-BZ5000GD-1’s black ion-plated stainless steel construction with gold accents around the bezel, screws, and buttons. This two-tone finish is a huge distinction from the standard silver or full-gold models in the B5000 family, which gives the new models a more layered and technical look.
The dial features the brick-patterned texture seen across many premium B5000 releases, but these images reveal how the gold bezel frame plays against the matte black case. The contrast looks way sharper in person than in official mockups. From the side profile shot, the watch also seems to carry slightly more sculpted lugs and polished edges. The bracelet links appear to have a glossy black coating on the outer portions, alongside matte-finished connectors - this also wasn’t as apparent in earlier leaked renders.
Functionally, the GMW-BZ5000GD-1 is confirmed to feature Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and Multi-Band 6 radio timekeeping, just like other high-end full metal G-Shock models. While no official release date has been announced, the number of hands-on sightings lately means the launch may be approaching soon.
