We covered the colorways of the upcoming Casio G-Shock Nano ring watches a few days ago, and now, as per fresh reports from Japanese blog Great G-Shock World, the miniature watches are expected to be priced at 10,000 yen, which roughly translates to $68. While previous leaks hinted towards a $100 price tag, the new expected MSRP should make it more accessible. Also, this pricing would put it below the recently released CRW-001 ring watch, which was extremely popular, especially amongst collectors.
Going solely by the past leaks, the "Nano" collection will feature three different variants/colorways: DWN-5600-1 (black), DWN-5600-4 (red), and DWN-5600-9 (yellow). All three models will reportedly come with an octagonal bezel found on classic DW-5600 series models. As far as the features go, they should include dual time, an automatic calendar, 12/24-hour formats, 1/100th second stopwatch, Time Flash, and an LED backlight. The material here seems to be resin - and with the digital display and G-Shock branding, these watches look like solid miniatures of the full-sized versions.
While ring-sized variants can't be too ideal for viewing the time at multiple instances throughout the day, the Nano watches have a lot of potential if you're looking to accessorize. Plus, this new collection looks like it's intended more for the general audience. A concrete release date should be out soon as well.
