The Nintendo Switch 2 has taken the world by storm since its release earlier this year. By Nintendo's last count, it had exceeded six million units in the first seven weeks of sales. That is not to say that Nintendo's latest console is without issues, though.
For instance, the company's display choice has been a sore point for some early Switch 2 adopters despite including a 1080p and 120 Hz panel. Moreover, the console struggles to last two hours between charges when playing demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 (curr. $69 on Amazon). However, modders have already attempted to resolve the Switch 2's latter shortcoming with a third-party solution.
Specifically, one can pick up a replacement on marketplaces like Goofish that increase the Switch 2's battery capacity from 5,220 mAh to 8,000 mAh. In other words, a 53% uplift from the console's stock capacity. By the looks of things, the solution is actually a pair of 4,000 mAh batteries strapped together rather than a custom solution. Unfortunately, it is unclear how much additional battery life this modification adds. Please see the video below for a walkthrough of the upgrade process.
