The Gamestation Go gaming handheld made by Atari and My Arcade is now available to pre-order several months after it was first revealed. The device is priced under $200 and will be released in October.

First announced at CES 2025, the Atari Gamestation Go handheld is now available to pre-order. The device has an interesting feature not available on other handhelds, and comes pre-loaded with hundreds of Atari games. The Gamestation Go is a collaboration between Atari and My Arcade. The two companies have partnered together in the past to release consoles such as the Atari Gamestation Pro (curr. available on Amazon for $79.99).

The Gamestation Go has a 7-inch color display with an unspecified resolution but the spec sheet says it has a high resolution. The screen is flanked on the left by a D-pad, a trackball, and a free-spinning paddle while the left has the ABXY buttons and a keypad. Sitting above the display are buttons for start, select, settings, and credit.

The device also has shoulder and trigger buttons while the top is home to the power button, volume rocker, audio jack, HDMI out port, microSD card slot, and a USB-C port. It also has an integrated kickstand and two ports at the back for wired controllers. A unique feature the Gamestation Go has is what is called SmartGlow, and what it does is to illuminate the controls needed to play a particular game.

Atari and My Arcade have pre-installed over two hundred games including Atari classics released for the Atari 2600, 5200, and 7800 consoles such as Balls of Steel Pinball, PAC-MAN, Breakout: Recharged, and Berzerk Recharged. There are also games from Atari Arcade including Asteroids, Missile Command, and Tempest.

The Gamestation Go has Wi-Fi connectivity for OTA updates and its built-in battery is reported to provide between 4 to 5 hours of gameplay. Available to pre-order directly from Atari, the Gamestation Go is priced at $179.99. It is also available to pre-order from GameStop and EB Games. According to My Arcade, the Gamestation Go will be released in October.
