Ayaneo is about to unveil the Pocket Air Mini, which is said to be an affordable retro handheld, and it seems that the company is also preparing to launch another retro gaming handheld soon, the Pocket Vert. This compact device was first teased in late July 2025, and back then, the company teased the premium build and high-resolution display of the unit.
Now, Ayaneo has revealed the display details of the Pocket Vert. As the latest teaser on X confirms, the retro gaming handheld will feature a 3.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 1400 pixels. With a pixel density of 615 PPI, it should be able to offer detail-rich visuals.
Speaking of which, Ayaneo has also teased the strong retro gaming performance of the Pocket Vert. The handheld is said to be capable of offering "10x pixel-perfect Game Boy scaling." This claim suggests that the upcoming handheld will stand as a direct competitor to Analogue Pocket, which also comes with a display that features a resolution of 1600 x 1400 pixels.
Of course, Ayaneo has yet to reveal the other core details of the Pocket Vert, but it's worth mentioning that the Pocket DMG packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, and the Pocket Vert could feature the more recent Snapdragon G3 Gen 3. It's the same SoC that's inside the newly launched Konkr Pocket Fit.
Other than that, Ayaneo has previously teased that the Pocket Vert will come with a chassis that's made of premium materials and a "top-tier" design. More details about the gaming handheld are expected to emerge soon.
