Ayaneo previously revealed pricing details for its upcoming handheld, the Konkr Pocket Fit. However, during its latest livestream, it revealed a new price for the handheld, one that is even significantly lower.
The Pocket Fit is one of two handhelds that Ayaneo's Konkr sub-brand will launch later this year with the other being the Pocket Fit Elite. Ayaneo already revealed that the Pocket Fit Elite will have a starting price of less than $399. It also previously stated that the Pocket Fit will have a starting price of less than $369. Surprisingly, during its livestream on August 23, the handheld manufacturer announced that the Pocket Fit will now have a starting price of under $329.
While a lower price tag is welcome, there are a few reasons why we think the price has been lowered. First, the Konkr brand is supposed to be Ayaneo's line of more affordable handhelds, and while $369 is affordable compared to Ayaneo's other handhelds such as the Pocket S2 which starts at $499, an even lower price tag is sure to win over more buyers sitting on the fence.
Also, by lowering the price of the Pocket Fit, there's a more reasonable difference between the Konkr Pocket Fit and the Konkr Pocket Fit Elite that is speculated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
So for less than $329, the Konkr Pocket Fit will pack a 6-inch 1080p display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 with 20W peak performance. There's no info yet on the RAM and storage configuration. The handheld will also launch with Hall Effect joysticks and Hall Effect triggers with dual-mode trigger locks which Ayaneo says is the first ever on an Android handheld. Lastly, the Konkr Pocket Fit will have an 8,000mAh battery capacity and be available in three colors.
