Another day, another AYN Thor news. Following yesterday's announcement of the AYN Thor's processor and display parameters, the manufacturer has now released the price of the upcoming dual-screen gaming handheld as well as the color options that will be available.
AYN already revealed that Thor will be available in two processor variants — a Snapdragon 865 version and a variant powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 like the AYN Odin 2 (12+256GB version available on Amazon for $379). So it's no surprise that pricing will vary based on the processor.
The AYN Thor will have an early bird price of $249 (retail price is $259) for the base model that is powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor and has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There will also be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that will have an early bird price of $299 and a final retail price of $309.
AYN will also offer a version with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage with the same processor for $349 (retail price of $359). Finally, the AYN Thor will max out at $429 (retail price of $459) for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
In addition to the price, AYN has also revealed that the AYN Thor will be available in three colors — Black, Rainbow (White), and Clear Purple. While renders of the three colors show the Rainbow variant has colored ABXY buttons, AYN says the color of the buttons have not been finalized as they will be ‘decided by the community’.
The AYN Thor will also have a TPU Grip to make it more comfortable to hold while gaming. However, it is not known if the grip will be available in colors that match the handheld or just black as show in the image above.
