We finally have our first clear look at the highly anticipated Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600 - which features an MIP LCD, Tough Solar, Bluetooth, Multiband 6. Expected pricing is around ¥30,000 (roughly $220–230).

The long-rumored Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600 has now appeared in clear hands-on images - giving us the most concrete confirmation yet of the upcoming square model. Photos shared on Japanese watch blog Great G-Shock World via u/K-Hein's post on the G-Shock subreddit show the watch’s design, display, and even its case back, which reveals a brand-new module number "3578."

Unlike the long-running GW-B5600, this new model uses a memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD. The display has high contrast with crisp digits, which should greatly improve readability over the classic STN screens. Several shots show customizable layouts for time and date, while the case still has the familiar square silhouette that G-Shock fans have come to love and appreciate since the original DW-5000.

The leaked unit also confirms support for Bluetooth, Tough Solar, and Multiband 6. The solar panel is integrated around the screen’s border, while the case back lists its 20-bar water resistance and confirms production in Thailand (as reported here).

While earlier reports suggested possible use of carbon fiber, the photographed sample appears to stick with a standard resin build. Casio could still release multiple variants, as it has done with other series. The "X" in the model name likely means a new sub-line within the GW-B family.

Pricing is still unannounced, though registration documents hint towards an expected retail of around ¥30,000 (roughly $220–230). A launch is projected for 2026. With live units already in circulation, an official announcement from Casio is likely not far off.
