Casio’s upcoming G-Shock GW-BX5600 has now been leaked to be produced in Thailand, according to regional certification and manufacturing data - courtesy of Great G-Shock World. Casio has been following a strategy of manufacturing most entry-level and mid-range G-Shocks outside Japan, primarily in Thailand and China, reserving Japanese factories for premium and limited-edition models. The GW-BX5600 is registered internationally as well, which means a global reveal is imminent.
As covered in past reports, the watch is expected to retain the square design lineage similar to the GW-M5610U series but with upgraded internals including a memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD, Bluetooth connectivity, and Tough Solar charging. Its display supports multiple time zone tracking, including triple world time, and the interface is customized with several layout options for time, date, and weekday views. Pricing projections are around ¥30,000 (roughly $220–230) - higher than its predecessor GW-M5610U-1JF, but still affordable compared to premium G-Shock models.
The "X" in the model’s name could mean that the GW-BX5600 could use carbon fiber components or signify a new "X" sub-line within the GW-B series, though this is still unconfirmed. Official launch and detailed pricing are still pending from Casio, with the watch anticipated to arrive in 2026.
