Casio Edifice EFSS650D-2A: Popular chronograph with ceramic bezel now available to buy in the US with limited stock
The Casio Edifice EFSS650D-2A - a solar‑powered, stainless‑steel chronograph that introduced a ceramic bezel in the Edifice line - can now be bought in the US, and is listed at $220 with limited stock on Casio’s US storefront. The EFSS650D-2A features a blue ion‑plated ceramic bezel framed by a flat stainless‑steel case and bracelet, with mirror and hairline finishes. The ceramic ring itself is more scratch‑resistant than stainless steel while also lending a deep, rich color tone to the watch frame.
Sized at 46.7 × 40.9 × 11.7 mm and weighing 140 g, the watch uses sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective coating and carries a 100‑meter water‑resistance rating. The bracelet has a one‑touch three‑fold clasp, with a stated wrist size range of 150–205 mm.
Power comes from Casio’s Tough Solar setup with an indicated run time of about five months from a full charge until hands stop, plus a battery level indicator and low‑battery alert. As per Casio, the Edifice watch has a monthly accuracy of ±20 seconds.
The dial has simple bar indexes with three inset registers and a date window, which keep the watch readable while also letting the solar panels behind the sub‑dials capture light. Chronograph functions include 1‑second timing with a capacity of 29 minutes 59 seconds, with elapsed, split, and first/second place time modes.
