Casio has teamed up with NBA star Rui Hachimura again for a bold new G-Shock. The new GM-5600RH-1 pairs the classic square design with black-and-red styling, Hachimura’s “Black Samurai” logo, and his signature engraved on the band. The watch comes in special packaging and is launching first in Japan.

Following several leaks and rumors over the past few months, Casio has officially announced the G-Shock GM-5600RH-1, a new special edition watch created in collaboration with NBA star Rui Hachimura. This is the fifth Signature Model for the Japanese forward, and this one is based on the GM-5600 series, featuring several custom tweaks and touches.

The watch carries "a powerful black base with passionate red accents," a combination Casio says represents Hachimura’s strength and passion to take on the world. As with previous Hachimura editions, the GM-5600RH-1 also features his personal insignia, the “Black Samurai” logo, cleverly merging the kanji character for “eight” (八), his jersey number, with a sword to form the “H” in Hachimura. The logo is prominently placed on the top of the face and also etched into the back case, while his signature is engraved on the band ring.

The watch sports an inverted display with a high-brightness LED. The battery life is rated for up to 5 years, though there's no solar charging. And as you would expect, the watch also features G-Shock's hallmark shock resistance, 20 bar water resistance, and timekeeping features, including a stopwatch, a fully automatic calendar, alarm, and flash notifications for alarms, hourly signals, or timers.

Pricing & Availability

The G-Shock GM-5600RH-1 x Rui Hachimura is launching first in Japan, and it will go on sale later this month for 39,600 yen (~$267). It will come in special packaging designed for this collaboration. Casio hasn’t shared details on international availability just yet, but given last year’s collaboration rolled out to the US and other markets, there’s a good chance this edition won’t stay Japan-only.

The first Rui Hachimura G-Shock was the GST-B100RH, launched in 2020. Since then, each release has riffed on a different G-Shock series. For example, the third collaboration drew from the classic DW-6900 series, while the 2024 version was based on the GA-B2100.
