Casio has moved from teaser to reveal on its new Evangelion collaboration - it just confirmed the GA‑110EVA30‑7A as the new model commemorating the TV series' 30th anniversary. The watch is based on the large GA‑110 platform and goes on preorder in Japan on October 1, with retail set for October 17 at ¥37,400.
The imagery in the new promo video puts the theme front and center. The resin case and strap carry full‑coverage prints in Unit‑01 colors - purple, green, black, white, and red - wrapped around a bright, busy mechanical‑style dial. Close‑ups show "Neon Genesis" engraved on a matte black keeper and a large NERV emblem with the "God’s in His Heaven, All’s Right with the World." printed on the lower strap. The bezel text and sub‑dial accents also repeat the EVA palette, while the analog‑digital layout and gear‑like appliques have more of an "industrial" look Evangelion fans will appreciate.
This announcement resolves what the earlier teaser only hinted at: an October 2025 launch window, a confirmed model name, and pricing. Casio last used the GA‑110 base for Evangelion in 2010, and past watches have spanned DW‑5600 and DW‑6900 variants.
Functionally, the new GA‑110EVA30‑7A's specs should be similar to the standard GA‑110 line: shock resistance, 200‑meter water resistance, magnetic resistance, 1/1000‑second stopwatch, world time, alarms, and LED light. The new YouTube video doesn't indicate any hardware changes as well. Availability appears to be Japan‑first, with any international distribution likely routed through select G‑Shock stores or limited drops after the domestic release. The general reservation phase will officially open on October 1 at midnight Japan time, with retail sales following on October 17 at a price of ¥37,400. Sales will be handled via lottery on Casio’s official online store.
