Casio recently hiked the prices of most of its Casio and G-Shock watches, but it looks like you can still find plenty of watches on sale. Case in point: the feature-loaded Casio Pro Trek PRG340 outdoor watch with a dual-layer LCD is currently marked down by a whopping 40%.
You’d normally have to shell out $280 to get your hands on a Pro Trek PRG340SC, but for a limited time, you can grab this outdoor watch for just $168 on Casio’s official website. That’s an incredible $112 off on one of the most popular Pro Trek models. If you’ve had your eye on this watch, you should act fast, as the stock is running out quickly. At the time of publication, there are only 4 units of the PRG340SC-5 in stock, while the PRG340SC-2 has already sold out.
If you miss out, Amazon has the Pro Trek PRG340-1 on sale for $179, down from $280. This model comes with a urethane band, while the PRG340SC watches have a silicone band. That’s the only difference between these variants. Functionally, they are all identical.

The Casio Pro Trek PRG340 is an “ABC” watch designed with outdoors enthusiasts in mind and packs in the company’s long-standing Triple Sensor system. That means it has an altimeter/barometer, compass, and thermometer built in, providing real-time readings of natural conditions for anyone trekking, climbing, or navigating unfamiliar terrain. The watch comes with a unique dual-layer Duplex LCD, which the company says greatly improves visibility by displaying compass graphics on the top layer, with the bottom layer reserved for showing time and other measurements. You also get a little dot matrix display that shows glanceable information like day, month, barometric pressure indicator, and more.
There’s a rotating bezel that works as an orientation tool and oversized buttons on the side with a non-slip finish, which you use even with gloves. As you might expect, the watch boasts Tough Solar charging, which Casio says works with both sunlight and weak indoor light sources to keep the battery topped up. The PRG340 is water resistant up to 100 meters and can survive temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees.
