Logitech has updated its G515 TKL gaming keyboard with a Rapid TKL offering that brings magnetic analogue switches to the same low-profile form factor. It is the company’s first low-profile analogue keyboard and while there are other low-profile (G915) and analogue (Pro X TKL Rapid) options separately, the G515 Rapid TKL brings those features together.
Logitech G515 Rapid TKL features and specifications
The TKL or tenkeyless form factor means it has only the essential keys that gamers need, allowing for a lot more desk space for rapid mouse movements. It is a wired keyboard and is only 22 mm tall. What’s upgraded here is the switches that allow for custom actuation between 0.1 mm to 2.5 mm. This also brings features like Rapid Trigger, SOCD (Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions) key priority, and multipoint actuation.
The top plate is stainless steel. There are multiple sound dampening layers, pre-lubed switches, POM stems, and double-shot PBT keycaps that lend to a slightly subdued sound profile, according to the company. There is customizable RGB lighting as well. The G515 Rapid TKL weighs 800 grams and uses a USB Type-C connection with a removable cable.
Price and availability
The Logitech G515 Rapid TKL comes in black and white colors, and is priced at $170. This puts it at $50 more than the G515 TKL and $20 less than the Pro X TKL Rapid ($160 on Amazon). It is available via the official website and at the time of writing, nowhere else. It should start showing up on Amazon and other retailers soon. Logitech also has a wireless version of the low-profile G515 TKL ($160 on Amazon) but that doesn’t come with analogue magnetic switches.
