Targus unveils EcoSmart keyboard and mouse with USB-A/C connectivity

Targus has released a new wired keyboard and mouse under its EcoSmart line of products, using up to 85% post-consumer recycled materials to help save the earth. The products include the EcoSmart keyboard (AKB875US, $29.99), EcoSmart mouse (AMU828GL, $19.99), and EcoSmart keyboard & mouse combo (AKM625US, $49.99). They are available from the Targus website and will be coming soon to the Targus store on Amazon.
The 107-key EcoSmart keyboard utilizes low-profile scissor keys with a quiet touch. It comes with a USB-C cable and USB-C-to-USB-A adapter for use with any PC or Apple computer, with no drivers required.
The two-button EcoSmart mouse with a scroll wheel comes with two side buttons and adjustable DPI (1,200, 1,600, or 2,400 DPI). It also comes with a USB-C cable and USB-C-to-USB-A adapter and is detected by PCs or Macs without requiring extra drivers.
Both are available in the EcoSmart keyboard & mouse combo, enabling easy deployment by corporations or schools with accompanying computers.
Since the keyboard and mouse use cabled connections, there is no need to buy or recharge batteries, no downtime, and no wireless lag, allowing for years of uninterrupted work. Importantly, wired keyboards do not go to sleep, eliminating the time-wasting double keypress most wireless keyboards require to wake up, then accept a keystroke. The EcoSmart keyboard and mouse come with a two-year limited warranty, as well.
