Razer's new Naga V3 Pro brings 23 programmable buttons and a new tilt scroll wheel

Razer's new Naga V3 Pro is now official, succeeding the Naga V2 Pro released in 2022. It's a wireless MMO mouse built around three magnetic side plates that are quick-swappable. The 12-button plate uses a T9-style keypad for MMOs, the 6-button hex plate targets MOBA and battle royale, and the 2-button plate strips things back for FPS and everyday use. On Amazon and on the company's official website, it starts at US$179.99 — the same price as its predecessor at launch.

Alongside the plates, Razer has added two quick-access buttons beside the left click for instant DPI shifts, and brought back the ring-finger button with a physical lock that disables it to prevent accidental presses. Total button count reaches 23.

The sensor in question is Razer's Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, rated at 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS, and 90 G acceleration, with 99.8% resolution accuracy and Frame Sync scanning. Gen-4 optical switches are rated for 100 million clicks, and the 12-button plate now uses doubleshot-molded keycaps whose markings will not wear off, the company claims.

The HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 adds a Precision Tactile mode with twice the steps of standard Tactile, joining Free-Spin and Smart-Reel, the latter switching between modes based on scroll speed. Synapse handles the rest: five onboard profiles, single-step DPI adjustment, asymmetric lift-off and landing distance across 26 levels, and a rotation tool for grip angle.

Razer quotes up to 155 hours over HyperSpeed Wireless and up to 280 hours over Bluetooth under its own test conditions. Continuous wireless charging requires swapping in a puck and buying either the Mouse Dock Pro or the HyperFlux V2 mat, all sold separately.
