Lenovo Legion Y7MG gaming mouse launches with PAW3950 sensor and 8K polling
Lenovo has launched the Legion Y7MG gaming mouse in China, featuring a 59 g magnesium-alloy body designed as an alternative to the honeycomb shells commonly used in lightweight gaming mice. This latest model also supports polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz.
While an aluminum-magnesium alloy was used for the product's top shell and button cover, its bottom shell is made from ABS plastic. The mouse measures 119.2 × 62.1 × 38.2 mm.
The PAW3950 sensor offers DPI settings from 50 to 42,000. It also supports tracking speeds up to 750 IPS, acceleration of up to 50 G, and an adjustable lift-off distance for different mouse pads.
The mouse also comes with Kailh optical switches rated for 100 million clicks, a TTC dustproof gold encoder, and an aluminum-alloy scroll wheel. Large PTFE feet on the bottom should help it slide more smoothly over different mouse pads.
The Legion Y7MG supports USB-C wired, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connections. Both wired and 2.4 GHz modes support polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz. Lenovo recommends using a recent high-end PC to achieve the best performance at that setting.
The mouse features RGB lighting that can sync with other compatible Legion devices through Lenovo's Aurora software. It is powered by a 500 mAh battery when in wireless mode. Lenovo ships the Legion with a USB-C cable, extra PTFE feet, grip tape, and a protective film for the skates.
The Legion Y7MG is currently available in China for CNY 499 (about $73) through Lenovo's online store. The company has not confirmed whether the mouse will be released in international markets.
