Lenovo launches Legion 24-1r gaming monitor starting at $99

Lenovo has launched the Legion 24-1r gaming monitor in China. The Full HD display targets gamers who prefer a higher refresh rate like 280 Hz to a higher resolution. The launch comes shortly after the company introduced another 27-inch affordable 280 Hz gaming monitor with HDR10 support.

The Legion 24-1r uses a 23.8-inch three-side NearEdgeless IPS panel with a 1920 × 1080 resolution, 400 nits of brightness, 99% sRGB coverage, and 8-bit color through 6-bit + FRC processing. It supports refresh rates of up to 280 Hz over DisplayPort or 240 Hz through HDMI. 

Users can choose from four overdrive modes, which lower the GtG response time from 4 ms to as low as 1 ms, claims the company. A separate 0.5 ms MPRT mode helps reduce motion blur, but it disables AMD FreeSync Premium and may cause slight flickering. VESA Adaptive Sync and HDR10 are supported as well.

The stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments with up to 135 mm of height travel, while a 100 × 100 mm VESA mount allows alternative installation options. In terms of connectivity, it has one DisplayPort 1.4 input, two HDMI 2.1 TMDS ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

This monitor also has Natural Low Blue Light, Eyesafe 2.0 certification, and support for its Lenovo Artery display management software. The package includes a 1.8-meter DisplayPort cable, power cable, mounting screws, a quick-start guide, and warranty documentation, while a three-year limited warranty backs the monitor which will naturally vary between markets.

Lenovo is currently selling the Legion 24-1r in China for CNY 669 (about $99). The company has not confirmed an international launch, but the monitor has already appeared in Lenovo's global PSREF database. It is available in a single black color option and with a single matte panel coating.
