Thunderobot launches affordable 4K Fast IPS gaming monitor with 160 Hz refresh rate

We recently covered Asus' 27-inch ROG Strix XG27UCMG gaming monitor. Thunderobot has taken a different approach with the JU24F160L, using a smaller 23.8-inch screen that, according to the company, reaches a pixel density of 185 PPI - about 13% higher than a typical 27-inch 4K monitor.

This Thunderobot monitor has a Fast IPS panel with a 3840 × 2160 resolution and a 160 Hz refresh rate. It reaches up to 400 nits of brightness, while the AG matte coating helps cut down glare. Adaptive Sync, HDR, 1 ms GTG response time, and MPRT are also supported.

For color, the display covers 95% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB. Thunderobot says every unit is factory calibrated to Delta E below 2. The monitor also includes DC dimming, hardware low blue light, adjustable blue light settings, and built-in stereo speakers.

Thunderobot also adds an FPS counter, dark scene enhancement, and an AI crosshair adjustment. Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) modes are also available, allowing two video sources to be displayed at the same time.

For connectivity, the monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Both HDMI and DisplayPort support output at up to 4K and 160 Hz.

The included stand supports 100 mm of height adjustment, ±90° pivot, ±30° swivel, and a tilt range of -5° to 20°. It also has a hidden headset hook, and Thunderobot includes a 1.5 m DisplayPort cable in the box.

The JU24F160L will be available in China starting August 10 for CNY 1,499 (about US$220). Thunderobot has not announced availability in other markets.
