Asus releases new dual-screen portable monitor with foldable design
The ZenScreen Duo MB14FCD is now available in Canada after making it available on Amazon US earlier. We previously covered the ZenScreen Duo OLED MQ149CD, which shares the same foldable dual-screen design but comes with OLED panels instead of IPS.
The monitor has two 14-inch IPS displays with a 1920 × 1200 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and a 5 ms GTG response time. Opening the monitor creates a 21-inch workspace, while the 360-degree hinge supports both landscape and portrait layouts.
Each display covers 100% of the sRGB color space, reaches 350 nits of typical brightness, and supports HDR10. The monitor also carries TÜV Rheinland Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light certifications. DisplayWidget Center automatically rotates the display when the monitor is turned.
Users can choose between Split, Extend, Independent, and Mirror modes to match different workflows. The monitor has two USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode, a mini-HDMI port, and USB-C power pass-through, allowing a compatible laptop to charge while connected.
The monitor weighs 1.2 kg (2.65 lb) and draws up to 13 W of power. Asus also bundles a fold-out kickstand and a standard 1/4-inch tripod mount.
The Asus ZenScreen Duo MB14FCD is priced at CA$499 and is available through the Asus Store and Best Buy.
