Asus launches new QHD gaming monitor with 500 Hz QD-OLED panel

The new ROG Swift is very similar to the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG (available on Amazon), but the differences are mostly in the design rather than the display hardware. Asus replaces the dot-matrix rear cover with a translucent finish and adds a redesigned stand with a built-in tripod mount. A built-in ROG logo projector is also placed below the display.

Inside, Asus uses the same 26.5-inch third-generation QD-OLED panel as the Strix model. It delivers a 2560 × 1440 resolution, a 500 Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms GtG response time.

The display hardware hasn't changed. It carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, reaches up to 300 nits in SDR mode and 1,000 nits in HDR, covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, and comes factory calibrated with a claimed Delta E below 2.

To help reduce OLED burn-in, Asus includes its latest OLED Care Pro suite. It adds OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0, a Neo Proximity Sensor, taskbar detection, and boundary detection for black bars.

For connectivity, Asus includes one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 FRL ports, two USB-A 5 Gbps ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment.

Pricing and availability have not been announced yet. The monitor is already listed on Asus' website, but the company has not said when sales will begin.
