Released in May 2026, the 32-inch Odyssey G7 is one of Samsung’s newest WOLED arrivals. Owners can toggle between 4K/165Hz and Full HD/330Hz dual modes. With a $300 price cut during an Amazon sale, the OLED monitor tempts gamers who prefer glossy, precise 4K images.

The Samsung Odyssey G7 faces stiff competition from versatile 32-inch 4K OLED monitors. When the 2026 model launched in May, its $1100 MSRP led some buyers to consider alternatives from LG or Asus. However, at its steepest Amazon discount to date, the G73SH's dual-mode functionality gives it an edge over rivals.

During the current Amazon sale, the Samsung monitor has fallen to $799.99. That’s $50 lower than the retailer's previous rock-bottom discount. If stock runs out, Best Buy has the Odyssey G7 available at the same price.

G7 adapability

The G73SH OLED monitor allows owners to switch between a 4K/165 Hz and 1080p/330Hz setting. Cinematic single-player games thrive at a higher resolution. Meanwhile, aspiring esports gamers can prioritize an elevated refresh rate in shooters like Valve’s Counter-Strike 2.

Measured in a Rtings review, the display boasts an extremely low response time. Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support help to smooth out any stuttering. The monitor also appeals to PC gamers who enjoy console exclusives. Its 16:9 aspect ratio is ideal for Xbox and PS5 titles, and an HDMI 2.1 port ensures compatibility with both systems.

The WOLED vs QD-OLED debate

Unlike many Samsung OLED gaming monitors, the 2026 G7 relies on a WOLED panel. QD-OLED contenders typically offer superior color volume, but the competing tech has its own perks. The deep blacks of the model featured in the deal remain inky black in ambient light. On the other hand, its typical brightness of 275 nits is unremarkable, which somewhat negates that advantage.

The glossy coating of the 32-inch display may also dissuade buyers with poor reflection handling. Particularly when DisplayHDR True Black 400 is active, games and movies look stunning at 4K resolution. Still, matte surfaces are a much better choice when glare in rooms is unavoidable.

Although it doesn't match the higher brightness and vivid colors of Tandem RGB newcomers, the Odyssey G7 is a well-rounded OLED monitor. At its $300 Amazon discount, the G73SH suits PC and console gamers with a wide variety of setups.
