Asus is offering two new OLED monitors
Asus has announced the launch of two powerful gaming monitors. Each features a 4K tandem RGB OLED display and supports an even higher refresh rate. The PG27UCWM and PG32UCWM are already available for order in Germany.

Asus has officially announced the launch of the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM and ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM, priced at €1,149 and starting at €1,259, respectively. While both models are already available in Germany, a US release has yet to follow. Both monitors feature 4K (3,840 x 2,160) OLED panels capable of reaching up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Featuring a 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time and refresh rates reaching up to 480 Hz, both displays target competitive gamers. Achieving that 480 Hz ceiling requires dropping the resolution to Full HD, as the monitors cap out at 240 Hz in native 4K. Outside of esports—where titles are typically played at minimal detail settings—this trade-off is largely irrelevant. The marginal benefit of higher refresh rates diminishes significantly beyond 240 Hz anyway, and driving 4K content past that threshold requires immense GPU power.

To eliminate screen tearing, both FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility are built in. The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM sports a 27-inch panel, whereas the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM steps up to a 32-inch footprint. Both units feature a Neo proximity sensor alongside AI-assisted features. Display inputs include HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1, complemented by a USB-C port with up to 90 W Power Delivery. While 90 W is enough to power connected laptops or mini-PCs, full-fledged desktop gaming rigs will still require their own power source.
