Lenovo releases ultrawide gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate

The Legion 34W-2c follows the Legion 24-1R, which went on sale toward the end of July. This 34-inch model has a 3440 × 1440 curved VA panel with 1500R curvature and a 240 Hz refresh rate, the same as the earlier released Legion 32Q-2c.

The monitor has a 4000:1 contrast ratio, which should make dark areas look deeper. Brightness is rated at 400 nits, with a peak of 410 nits. Lenovo also gives it a 0.5 ms MPRT response time.

For colors, the panel covers 99% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3. It supports 10-bit color using 8-bit + FRC and comes with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

The 240 Hz refresh rate works with AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA Adaptive Sync. Other gaming features include True Split, dark-area enhancement, an on-screen crosshair and a frame-rate display.

There are two HDMI 2.1 FRL ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port on the back. Lenovo says all three can handle the monitor's full 3440 × 1440 resolution. Its specifications are also close to those of the Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10, which is already available on Amazon.

The included stand provides 135 mm of height adjustment, 30 degrees of swivel to either side, and tilt from -5 to 22 degrees. The monitor also supports a 100 × 100 mm VESA mount.

Lenovo lists Eyesafe 2.0 and TÜV Rheinland Hardware Low Blue Light certifications. The display also uses an anti-glare coating and supports Natural Low Blue Light.

With the stand attached, the Legion 34W-2c weighs 7.8 kg (17.2 lbs). The monitor itself weighs 4.4 kg (9.7 lbs) without the stand.

The Lenovo Legion 34W-2c is priced at CNY 1,799 (around US$265) in China and NZ$699 including GST (around US$410) in New Zealand. US pricing and availability has not been announced yet.
