GTA 6: Netflix debut is just an “hors d’oeuvre” – “main course and dessert” will follow

On August 27, Rockstar Games will offer an in-depth look at GTA 6 with Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. Although expectations for the presentation are already high, it is apparently only meant to mark the beginning of the promotional campaign. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explained this in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz. Zelnick described the upcoming presentation as “one of the hors d’oeuvres.” He then added: “There's appetizers, main course and dessert to follow.”
Zelnick's comments suggest that several major promotional events could follow the Extended Look. While he didn't reveal exactly what Rockstar Games has planned, the Reddit community is already busy speculating. User u/Sorry_Fail_3103, for example, suspects that the upcoming presentation could be a short film focusing on Jason and Lucia. The “appetizers” could then consist of character trailers, followed by Rockstar serving up its first extensive gameplay trailer as the main course and wrapping up the marketing campaign with the final launch trailer as dessert. Other fans also believe that a first teaser for GTA Online could be on the way.
It is important to emphasize that, at this point, all of this is pure speculation. Exactly what Rockstar has in store for fans remains to be seen. What seems certain, however, is that the GTA community can expect plenty of new information in the coming weeks. Less than three months separate the Extended Look on August 27 from the game's release on November 19. Rockstar can therefore be expected to significantly ramp up its promotional campaign after the presentation, regularly releasing new trailers, gameplay footage or other information about Grand Theft Auto VI (available for preorder on Amazon).
