MagicX shares Mini Dream handheld's ultimate form

MagicX has once again redesigned its upcoming handheld, the Mini Dream. Renders of the redesigned handheld were posted by the manufacturer on Discord and is expected to be the final design of the device.

The new renders of the MagicX Mini Dream handheld show the top and bottom bezels of the display have been shrunk further. MagicX has also removed the lone button below the display and placed it above the D-pad. Another important change is that the handheld now has a smaller form factor. Unlike the first two iterations which measure 147 × 70 × 18 mm, this latest revision measures 137 × 63 × 18.5 mm.

Unfortunately, the battery capacity has shrunk from 3,800mAh to 3,500mAh which has also resulted in the weight dropping from 185g to under 170g. MagicX says the base version of the Linux variant will still be powered by the Rockchip RK3566, and it seems it will retain its $80 price tag.

No details have been shared about the processors and pricing of the other three variants which include a more powerful Linux version, and two Android versions which will have an active cooling fan and a touchscreen display. MagicX says these details, alongside the colors of the handheld will be revealed later.
