MagicX shares refined design of its upcoming handheld

MagicX has a new handheld in development that will launch as the Mini Dream. A few days ago, it revealed some details of the upcoming device and also shared a design render, revealing what it will look like. However, following feedback it received from community members, it has shared new renders with an updated design.

The initial render of the Mini Dream handheld showed the device in black with symmetric joysticks, a Nintendo layout for the ABXY buttons, in-line shoulder buttons, and RGB LED rings for the joysticks. It also has start and select buttons flanking the display at the top, and a lone menu button below the screen.

The new renders have the same features stated above, but show the Mini Dream in three new colors. There's Orange, Transparent Purple, and Transparent Teal. It is not confirmed if these are the finalized colors the device will be released in. However, the major revision, when compared to the black version, is that the Mini Dream has slimmer bezels surrounding the display in the new renders.

According to MagicX, the renders show the entire viewable area of the display. It has also been stated that the dimensions and the technical details revealed earlier, such as a 3,800mAh battery and an active cooling fan (Android variants only) remain unchanged.

Despite the revisions, there are still some fans who aren't pleased with the new design, which isn't surprising. However, MagicX says the design still isn't fully finalized yet, so there's a chance we haven't seen the Mini Dream's final form yet.
