Ayaneo's new handheld gets a limited edition color that's more expensive

Just a few days after announcing a new color for its latest handheld, the Konkr Pocket Advance, Ayaneo has unveiled yet another color. The new color is a limited edition one and will be available at a later date.

The Konkr Pocket Advance was originally released in Coral, Navy, and Grey, before it was joined by a fourth color called Peach. Now, Ayaneo says since the launch, it has received several requests to release the handheld in more classic color options, hence the reason for launching this new color called Onyx Ice/Ice Black.

This new colorway has a translucent black shell, and the closest Game Boy Advance color with a similar design is the King of Fighters edition which had a clear black shell and gray buttons. However, unlike the other four colors, this version of the Konkr Pocket Advance is more expensive.

Pricing for the Konkr Pocket Advance Ice Black Limited Edition starts at $109 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB version, and jumps to $129 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB version for those who pre-order it. Once the pre-order period ends, it will revert to its retail price of $129 for the 3GB RAM version and $149 for the 4GB RAM version. Ayaneo says only 500 units are available for the overseas market and shipping will begin at the end of October 2026.

In related news, Ayaneo has also disclosed that its upcoming vertical handheld, the Konkr Pocket Block, is still on the way. First announced in late May, the Konkr Pocket Block was expected to launch before the Konkr Pocket Advance, but that's not the case. However, Ayaneo says that it will share more details of the device in the future.
