Survival and space exploration: Breathedge takes a lighthearted approach

Developed by RedRuins Softworks and published by HypeTrain Digital, Breathedge was released in 2021. The game combines survival, crafting, and exploration mechanics in a space setting. Following a disaster involving a space hearse transporting a person's ashes, the player character finds himself surrounded by debris, coffins, and dead passengers.

The main objectives include managing a space station's oxygen and power supplies, gathering resources, and building tools and vehicles. Players can construct solar panels as well as a hamster farm. Parts of the game take place in zero gravity, while a short story revolves around a conspiracy.

Breathedge distinguishes itself from other games in the genre through its comedic approach. It relies heavily on dark humor, much of which is delivered by a sarcastic AI suit. The officially "unsupported" game also runs on the Steam Deck, although some manual adjustments are required.
