Epic Games Store announces next week's free game

Epic Games Store users can currently grab Beacon Pines and We Were Here Together for free. Both games are available to claim until August 13, giving players a limited time to add them to their libraries. Once claimed, they'll be yours to keep forever. While those giveaways are still live, Epic has also revealed the next title that will be available for free.

Starting August 13, Caravan SandWitch will become the next free game on the Epic Games Store. Like every weekly giveaway, users will have one week to claim it before it is replaced by another free title on August 20. 

As for what the game offers, Caravan SandWitch is a narrative-driven exploration adventure set in a sci-fi world inspired by the landscapes of Provence. You play as a traveler searching for your missing sister, exploring the planet of Cigalo in a customizable van while uncovering clues about what happened. Instead of focusing on combat, the game encourages exploration, discovery, and helping the different communities you meet during your journey.

As you travel across deserts, abandoned ruins, and remote settlements, you'll upgrade your van to reach new areas and uncover more of the world's secrets. Along the way, you'll meet humans, robots, and native inhabitants who each have their own stories and tasks. The game also explores themes such as environmental damage, rebuilding communities, and cooperation in a post-apocalyptic world.
