Europe loves Samsung's new Galaxy Z series according to pre-order figures

The latest Samsung Galaxy Z series smartphones have been available to pre-order since their announcement on July 22, and they will finally be released tomorrow, August 7 globally. What is interesting is that despite the missing pre-order perks such as a free storage upgrade and the Galaxy Z Fold 8's weak cameras, Samsung says pre-orders are better this year compared to 2025 in Europe.
An official press release says that pre-orders for the new Galaxy Z series have exceeded the target Samsung set in the Old Continent. The total pre-orders for the three new devices, which include the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, have surpassed the total pre-orders of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 by 20%. This figure is from the first 11 days since pre-orders began, which means the exact value should be higher once the pre-order ends at 23:59 on August 6.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the star of the show
Samsung delves deeper by revealing that the Galaxy Z Fold 8, with its new wide form factor, is the most popular of the three devices. It makes up 40% of the total pre-orders in Europe. However, it isn't stated what percentage of the pre-orders the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is the topmost model, makes up. The same applies to the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 8.
The new Galaxy Z series are still available to pre-order from Samsung's website as well as official partner stores such as Amazon. Below are the prices for the devices on Amazon.de:
