Aulumu releases aramid fiber cases for the Samsung Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, and S26 Ultra with integrated temperature monitoring

Aulumu has released aramid fiber cases for the Samsung Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and S26 Ultra  smartphones at an MSRP of $69.98. The midnight black cases are inspired by "Darth Vader" and utilize woven 1500D aramid fibers for lightness and strength while providing a subtle texture that aids in grip, according to the company.

The Aulumu cases provide additional protection to the camera lenses by integrating a raised aluminum alloy frame, which helps prevent contact with the lenses when the phone is laid flat on its back. The frame lifts the lenses by 0.9 mm (0.035 in.) on the folding models, and 0.45 mm (0.018 in.) on the S26 Ultra.

Next to the camera lenses, an integrated color-changing stripe allows owners to monitor the temperature of their phones. The aluminum frame also acts as a heat dissipation surface, transferring heat away from the thermally-conductive silicone pad that is located inside the case.

The folding cases add just 1.25 mm (0.05 in.) in thickness to the folding Samsungs and just 1.2 mm (0.047 in.) to the S26 Ultra. The former also adds just 31 g (1.09 oz.) in weight, while the latter adds just 27 g (0.95 oz.).

All come with a MagSafe-compatible mount for attachment of magnetic kickstands, wallets, and accessories.
