Here, we measured a significantly higher value of nearly 92 dB(A) for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8, while the Motorola Razr 70 Plus and Ultra both registered below 84 dB(A). Our measurements of the Galaxy Z Flip8 also confirm a strong listening experience in the treble range. Here, the Razr’s speakers roll off very early, while the Samsung phone delivers a much more linear sound.
If you value loud and clear sound in your compact foldable phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 is the way to go. The Samsung phone not only beats the Motorola Razr 70 Plus and the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra in maximum volume, but it also completely outclasses the Razr models in the low- and high-frequency ranges.
In terms of value for money, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is also a good choice for potential foldable buyers. The Samsung phone starts at around $1,200 (MSRP, available on Amazon.com), making it significantly cheaper than Motorola’s premium flip phone.
