Leak: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be 28% faster and more expensive, but hardly get any upgrades

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 is expected to be officially unveiled on July 22, 2026, along with the Galaxy Z Fold8, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, the Galaxy Watch9, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Leaks over the past few months have already revealed many details about the features, design, and even the price of the next-generation Flip flagship.
Winfuture has now managed to track down a virtually complete spec sheet from a retailer, and can therefore confirm earlier rumors about the new features – or rather, rumors about the lack of new features. The only significant upgrade is that Samsung, at least in Europe, will be using an Exynos 2600, which replaces the Exynos 2500 used in the previous model. As our benchmarks show, this gives the smartphone about 28 percent higher CPU performance.

As usual, Samsung is equipping the device with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB to 512 GB of flash storage. The weight has dropped from 188 to 180 grams. Aside from that, no new features are expected. Samsung is reportedly using the same 50 MP main camera with image stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10 MP selfie camera as before. The battery has a capacity of 4,300 mAh, just like the previous model.
On paper, there are also no apparent differences from last year’s model regarding the 6.9-inch, 120 Hz OLED main display and the 4.1-inch AMOLED secondary display. Although the smartphone has hardly changed, the price is set to rise. The base model with 256 GB of storage reportedly costs €1,299, €100 more than the Galaxy Z Flip7 ($1,219 on Amazon). For the 512 GB top-of-the-line model, the price is even rising by €180 to €1,499.
