Google Pixel 11 Pro pictured with Pixel Glow RGB LEDs for the first time

References to Pixel Glow were discovered in the Pixel Diagnostics app's code back in April, however, the RGB lighting had not been visible on leaked images. That has now changed, as Google has published a short teaser video in the Google Store in which the color of the LED flash in the camera module changes.
While Pixel Glow is much smaller than, for example, the Glyph Matrix on the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro ($539 on Amazon), the colorful LEDs are likely to serve a similar function, such as indicating incoming calls and notifications. The color could be useful, for example, by lighting up green for a WhatsApp message and blue for a Facebook notification.
According to earlier rumors, Pixel Glow is also supposed to provide visual feedback when users are having a conversation with an AI voice assistant. It’s still unclear whether Pixel Glow will be exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, or if the feature will also be available on the more affordable Pixel 11 and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
The Google Pixel 11 series will be officially unveiled on August 12. Rumors suggest a number of upgrades, led by the Google Tensor G6 ARM chip. However, Google is reportedly removing the Pixel 10 Pro’s temperature sensor, meaning it will no longer be possible to measure skin temperature or the temperature of food. The Google Pixel 11 and the Pixel 11 Pro (XL) were recently pictured in all the new colors.
