The base Pixel 11 won't get Google's new camera bar lighting feature reserved for the Pro models, but a fresh correction suggests the telephoto camera and RAM amount are better than previously rumored.

The standard Pixel 11 won't include Google's new HiLight hardware feature, according to leaker evowizz, aligning with the feature being positioned as exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro series. HiLight uses an RGB LED in the camera bar to signal calls from favorite contacts or Gemini activity when the phone is faced down.

While the base model misses out on that hardware feature, evowizz also corrected two other specs for the standard Pixel 11 that had circulated from separate sources. Android Headlines had reported the base Pixel 11 would ship without a telephoto lens entirely, but evowizz says the device does include one, fitted with a 10.8MP sensor, which can be spotted in leaked real life images of the device.

Separately, Mystic Leaks had suggested an 8GB RAM configuration for the base model. Evowizz corrects this to 12GB RAM only, with no other RAM configurations.

The leaker also says that they won't be sharing any further specifics, but hinted that several unannounced features for the Pixel 11 lineup haven't leaked out yet, describing themselves as "hyped" about some of what's still to come.

As with all pre-release leaks, these figures should be treated as unconfirmed until Google's official announcement at its August 12 event.
