Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold appears in official teaser video with ironic slogan

The "Made by Google" launch event is fast approaching – the Google Pixel 11 series will be officially unveiled on August 12. Google released a new teaser video today featuring the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. There are no design surprises, given the numerous leaks over the past weeks and months.

Apart from the slightly redesigned camera module, including an LED flash with RGB lighting, Google is carrying over the design of its next-generation foldable flagship almost unchanged from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold ($1,024 on Amazon), with the new model reportedly measuring 10.1 millimeters thick and weighing 239 grams when folded, making the smartphone slightly thinner and lighter than its predecessor. The video promotes the Pixel 11 Pro Fold with the slogan: "To switch phones, you have to be open to what’s new. And to what opens."

This slogan is ironic, as the Pixel 11 Pro Fold reportedly offers hardly any new features. Aside from the slightly thinner body, the RGB lighting in the LED flash, and a slightly smaller battery, the main upgrade expected is the Google Tensor G6 ARM chip. The 6.4-inch secondary display and the 8-inch main display – each reportedly equipped with a 120 Hz OLED panel – appear to be carried over from the previous model, as do the cameras, including the two 10 MP f/2.2 selfie cameras, the 48 MP main camera, the 10 MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom, and the 10 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The base model is even expected to see a downgrade from 16 GB to 12 GB of RAM.
