Leak: Compact HMD Fame features 3.5-inch touchscreen, AUX, and shortcut button

With the HMD Touch, HMD Global unveiled an unusual feature phone with a 3.2-inch touchscreen last fall. Now, the manufacturer appears to be developing two slightly larger models that are technically nearly identical – the HMD XploraOne Neo and the HMD Fame. According to information from the highly reliable leaker @smashx_60, the HMD Fame’s display is growing from 3.2 inches to 3.5 inches. Since the bezels are getting narrower, the phone is only slightly larger overall.
The button below the screen on the new model is said to be a physical button rather than a touch-sensitive one. A programmable button on the top allows you to quickly call a contact or open an app. On the right side, there is a power button and a volume rocker. The bottom edge houses a microphone and a USB-C port, which can be used to charge the 2,000 mAh battery.
The specs remain relatively basic, as HMD Global is expected to include a front-facing camera with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels (0.3 megapixels) and a 2-megapixel main camera, accompanied by an LED flash for better low-light photos. Like the HMD Touch before it, the HMD Fame is expected to feature a microSD slot, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a Bluetooth chip, allowing the device to be used as an MP3 player, though the selection of apps is typically very limited on feature phones. It is not yet known when or at what price the HMD Fame will be released.
