Pixel 11 Pro leaks show telephoto shift that could hurt telemacro shots

As leaked yesterday, Pixel 11 Pro renders show a telephoto camera cutout that departs from the square periscope module used on the Pixel 10 Pro. Instead, the opening on the render appears circular, sparking two competing theories about what's inside. This also seemingly confirms a previous leak which suggest a new telephoto module.

One possibility is that Google adopted an All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) layout, the same approach Samsung uses on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which stacks lens elements directly against the prism to free up space for other components. The other is a switch to an M-shaped periscope path rather than the L-shaped design used in recent Pixel Pro models. Neither layout is typically associated with great close-focus performance.
Google has not commented on the leaked render, and camera hardware for the Pixel 11 series remains unofficial until the Made by Google event, expected on August 12, 2026, in New York.
