Garmin Fenix 9 said to launch alongside Fenix 9 Pro and Enduro 4 with MiP display

Over the past few months, there have already been several rumors about the Garmin Fenix 9 and the Enduro 4, both of which are expected to launch in 2026. According to the latest information from Garmin Rumors, the two models are even expected to launch simultaneously. The Garmin Enduro 4 could be the only option featuring an energy-efficient MiP display and integrated solar cells to enable an exceptionally long battery life.

Those who opt for the Fenix 9, on the other hand, may not have a choice. Garmin Rumors speculates that the flagship smartwatch will be offered exclusively with an AMOLED display, as Garmin continues to transition more and more models from MiP to AMOLED. While these displays offer significantly higher contrast and more vibrant colors, they also consume considerably more power – especially when the OLED pixels need to glow extremely brightly in sunlight to keep the screen readable.

Surprisingly, the Garmin Fenix 9 and the Fenix 9 Pro are set to launch simultaneously, rather than following the pattern of the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, which didn’t hit the market until several months after the more affordable Fenix 8 ($992 on Amazon). The Pro model typically offers a built-in LTE modem and inReach satellite connectivity, in addition to the features of the base model. According to Garmin Rumors, a smaller 43-millimeter Fenix 9 Pro is also planned this time, whereas the Fenix 8 Pro is only available in 47-mm and 51-mm versions. As always, such rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, Garmin has not yet made any official statements regarding the Fenix 9 (Pro) or the Enduro 4.
