Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Watch 9 and more: retailer hints at availability

For weeks now, it has been considered relatively certain that Samsung has chosen a Wednesday in July 2026 as the date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, although this has not yet been officially confirmed. Now there’s further confirmation of this date, courtesy of the online store Pricebee, a retailer based in Latvia, which listed July 22 as the announcement date in an early listing for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with 512 GB of storage.
That in itself wouldn’t be newsworthy if it weren’t for a second date mentioned on the same page, specifically, the availability date. According to this EU retailer, the wider and more compact Samsung foldable will be officially available starting August 5, 2026—exactly two weeks after the expected launch event. This is well within the usual pre-order window, during which there will likely be exciting deals from Samsung and participating retailers.
What to expect at the Galaxy Unpacked Event
In 2026, Samsung is expected to announce three foldables and two Galaxy Watch wearables for the first time—specifically, the new, wider Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, the upgraded successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 8. As for wearables, we expect a visually unchanged Galaxy Watch 9, which has already been leaked here in all model variants and colors. By contrast, we expect a redesign for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The three Galaxy Z foldables for 2026 will be available in many new colors.
