Galaxy Z Fold 8 shows up at FCC with Snapdragon, Wi-Fi 7 and satellite connectivity

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 (also known as Wide Fold), which was missing from the FFC's recent slew of certifications, appears to have now finally received regulatory certification under model number SM-F971U. which is a strong sign that production is finished and an official launch is right around the corner.
Although the model number does not reveal the final commercial name, it matches previous leaks of the Wide Fold. The mention of a “large” and “small” screen, both with a camera, as well as the product diagram, strongly suggest that it is a foldable, book-format device.
Among the main characteristics, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 appears to house a Snapdragon processor, since the documentation refers to the use of a Qualcomm modem and Smart Transmit technology. The device will also support Wi-Fi 7, NFC, wireless and reverse wireless charging, UWB connectivity, DisplayPort and satellite capabilities via NB-NTN.
This comes after FCC filings were identified for other devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7), the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the Galaxy Watch 9 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The official launch has still not been confirmed by Samsung, though it is expected at the company's Unpacked launch event on July 22 in London.
